U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools

Dear MMSA Community,
I would like to share some good news with you, hopefully, to bring us some positive energy at these difficult times.

US News and World Report 2020 Best High School rankings have been recently unveiled. I am proud to announce that MMSA has been ranked as one of the top high schools in the nation (#54 in Michigan, #1691 in the US), 5 years in a row. The report has analyzed more than 24000 high schools based on the 2017-2018 data points including Graduation, Advanced Placement Test Participation & Achievement, and College Readiness Assessments.

Once again, MMSA is ranked as the #1 Charter School in Metro-Detroit and #1 Non-Selective High School in Macomb County with a 90.5 overall score out of 100.

Although the schools in this report are ranked regardless of the income level, it is well-known that the performance of a school is directly linked to the socioeconomic status of its students. MMSA is one of the few to be listed as a top-performing school with high rates of economically disadvantaged and minority student enrollment. This important detail reveals that MMSA is continuing to break the odds when it comes to fulfilling its mission of providing a top-quality College-Prep program for its families; it also backs up why MMSA was #1 High School in Mackinac Center for Public Policy’ s 2018 CAP report.

I want to congratulate all of our students for their hard work, all MMSA staff for their dedication and passion to serve the best possible education to our families. I want to thank our Board Members, GVSU Charter School Office, and Concept Schools for their exceptional guidance and support; also to Midwest Management and MAPSA for their excellent partnership. Last but not least, I want to thank our parents for trusting us with nurturing their children’ s minds and hearts!

Let’ s continue making Dreams Come True!
