MMSA’s seniors visited Henry Ford College on Monday, April 12th, 2017. The group was greeted by Delphine Davis who works at the admissions and recruiting department at Henry Ford College. Ms. Davis talked with the students about the advantages of a two-year institution such as lower tuition costs, smaller class sizes, more focused attention from instructors, more hands-on experiences, and early internship opportunities.

Ms. Davis also explained how students may choose to transfer to a 4-year bachelor’s degree program easily with a good GPA or earn a 2-year associate degree. Students were also interested in the fact that many businesses reach out to Henry Ford with job opportunities for the students of this college, which is located at the heart of Detroit’s industrial district.

After Ms. Davis’s presentation, students took a walking tour around the campus, joined a planetarium show, and enjoyed campus lunch at the skylight café.
