Lego Race Cars

Ms. Langwald’s 8th grade science class has been exploring Newton’s 3 laws of motion.  They built Lego cars and had to figure out how to make them the faster by implementing the three laws.

1. An object at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon by an outside force (inertia)

2. Acceleration is produces when a force acts on a mass.  The greater the mass the greater the force need F=MA

3. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Each student designed their own car, and after a trial run had to make modifications to make their car faster.
